Terms and Conditions

ILM Pet Sitting provides in-home pet care services including, but not limited to:

• Dog walking and potty breaks
• Drop-in visits for cats, dogs, and small animals
• Extended care for longer time periods, including while owners are away

Services are primarily provided in the Wilmington, NC area. Visits to parts of Brunswick County and Pender County may be available but could incur an additional travel charge. Please contact us to confirm availability and pricing for your location.

Service availability is subject to scheduling. ILM Pet Sitting reserves the right to decline or discontinue service at any time if circumstances make it unsafe or impractical to continue.

All services must be booked in advance through our scheduling system. Bookings are not confirmed until you receive a written confirmation from ILM Pet Sitting.

Payment is due in full no later than 24 hours prior to your first scheduled visit. Once your booking is confirmed, you will receive an online invoice by email. Payment must be completed through that invoice before the service takes place.

We completely understand that life happens and plans change. We simply ask that you communicate with us as early and openly as possible so we can do our best to accommodate everyone.

Cancellations made at least four (4) hours before a scheduled visit will not be charged. Cancellations received less than four (4) hours before a scheduled visit will be charged the full rate for that visit.

Cancellations for holiday periods must be received at least four (4) hours prior to the first scheduled visit of that holiday period. ILM Pet Sitting reserves the right to require prepayment for holiday bookings.

For the safety of your pet and others, all pets in our care must be up to date on core vaccinations as recommended by a licensed veterinarian. This includes rabies and any other vaccines appropriate for the species and age of your pet.

By booking a service, you confirm that your pet is in good health, is free from contagious illness, and has not been exposed to any contagious diseases within the past 30 days.

ILM Pet Sitting reserves the right to refuse service to any pet that appears ill, injured, or poses a risk to the health of the sitter or other animals. If a pet becomes ill during a visit, we will contact you immediately and may seek veterinary care on your behalf.

In the event of a medical emergency, ILM Pet Sitting will make every reasonable effort to contact you before seeking veterinary treatment. If you cannot be reached, we will seek emergency veterinary care at our discretion in order to protect the health and safety of your pet.

You authorize ILM Pet Sitting to obtain emergency veterinary care on your behalf. You agree to be responsible for all veterinary costs incurred. Please provide the name and contact information of your preferred veterinarian at the time of booking.

You are responsible for disclosing any known behavioral concerns, including but not limited to: aggression toward people or other animals, anxiety, history of biting, or reactivity. Failure to disclose known behavioral issues may result in immediate termination of service without refund.

As a pet owner, you are legally and financially responsible for any damage, injury, or loss caused by your pet while in our care, including injuries to the sitter or third parties.

ILM Pet Sitting will provide care with the highest level of attention, love, and responsibility. However, we cannot guarantee the safety of your pet under all circumstances. Animals can behave unpredictably, and accidents can occur despite best efforts.

ILM Pet Sitting is not liable for loss, injury, illness, or death of a pet resulting from circumstances beyond our reasonable control, including escape, interaction with other animals, ingestion of foreign objects, or pre-existing health conditions.

For services performed at your home, you agree to provide safe and reliable access. This may include a key, key code, or lockbox arrangement, agreed upon prior to the first visit. You are responsible for ensuring your home is safe for the sitter to enter.

ILM Pet Sitting will treat your home and property with respect and care. We will not enter areas of your home beyond what is necessary to care for your pet. All information about your home, routine, and security will remain strictly confidential.

ILM Pet Sitting respects your privacy. Personal information collected during the booking process, including your name, address, phone number, and pet information, will only be used to provide services and will never be sold or shared with third parties.

We may take photos or videos of your pet during visits for our records and, with your permission, for use on our website or social media. You may opt out of photo sharing at any time.

ILM Pet Sitting reserves the right to update or modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website. Continued use of our services after any update constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.

We encourage you to review this page periodically. If you have concerns about any change, please contact us before booking.

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina. Any disputes arising from services provided by ILM Pet Sitting shall be resolved in New Hanover County, North Carolina.
